The center was designed from the macro to the micro, considering national and local usage.
Sprawling, twisting, hallway exhibition space connects various programs that blend users together in team working and learning experiences.
This design considers time as part of the function. In doing so, all activity and space become equal. Hierarchy of use is diminished through distance and organization. There are no neglected corners, or ways of entrance ever unseen or unused. From any vantage point in the museum there is always another to explore.

Why an antiquated means of communication for a park activity?
Creativity happens in moments of need. Abstaining from speech creates the challenge of communicating by other means and the opportunity for children to create imaginative narratives for play.
Creating a system of scopes could also allow for communication along Chicago's coast between different communities.
